Hi. My name is Matt Hanley, a native English speaker from Britain. I live in Lancaster, in the north west of England.

I am a fully CELTA-qualified English tutor, with a personal focus on making lessons as fun and as music-related as possible.

Whether you want to practice vocabulary, grammar, reading or writing or if you want to practice your conversational skills with a native speaker, I’m here to help! I can work with lesson plans, text books or curricula or design lessons based on your individual interests. I am happy to tutor students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.

My English courses can be tailored to you and your level of English. Our classroom could be at your house or office/university, or in a quiet public place (library or cafe close by). It’s your choice. Or our lessons can take place over Skype or Facetime, easily accessible from anywhere in the world, with flexible teaching hours and schedules.

• All courses include grammar, conversation and vocabulary training.
• Choose a 60, 90 or 120 minute lesson, or a three month course
• English Courses – Spoken English Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced, and Political English
• Refresher – revitalising the English you once knew. A fun course.
• Political English – if you are looking to enter the British political world, or just want to understand what on earth is going on over here, then this is the course for you.

• Time: 45-55 minutes per session
• Location: anywhere in Lancaster in person, or anywhere in the world via Skype
• Format: one-on-one, or mini-groups up to 4 persons
• Hours: anytime between 6AM and 8PM CET, Monday – Saturday
• I offer an extensive interview to establish your level of English, free of charge
